ALPHARETTA, GEORGIA — Morley Medical, a leader in medical innovation utilizing artificial intelligence, has recently completed usability testing on an artificial intelligence powered clinical analytics tool and is proud to announce the outstanding results. Participants of the usability testing were all medical professionals (physicians and nurses) throughout the United States.
The Morley Medical sepsis software system is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered predictive analytics clinical decision support software tool that informs clinical management in the screening and identification of sepsis in hospitalized patients. The software utilizes its unique AI machine learning algorithms to predict the likelihood of the development of sepsis in hospitalized patients 18 years and older.
The usability study was designed in compliance with the FDA’s human factors guidance, Applying Human Factors and Usability Engineering to Medical Devices (2016) and the international standard IEC 62366-1, Application of Usability Engineering to Medical Devices (2015).
The results of the study demonstrate the Morley Medical sepsis software system can be used safely and effectively by representative users.
Highlights of the results include:
- 87% of medical professionals rated the Morley Medical clinical decision support tools login and authentication process as above average in user experience.
- 93% of medical professionals found the organization of data and information within the tool to be clear and easily understandable.
- 97% of medical professionals rated the application as a pleasant experience to use on a mobile device.
- 100% of medical professionals rated the application as easy for medical professionals to learn and understand.
